Painting effect of marble lectern.

After the Simply Sacred Concert, I went back to the Holy Rosary Church again. This time I was there when there was no church function. I just wanted to walk around and take some photographs.

This church is situated on the bank of Chao Phraya River, around 4 kilometres south of the Grand Palace. It’s interesting to witness how western civilization arrive Bangkok. Some hundred years ago, this area must have been busy with ships coming and going. There is a trace of history during that period until now. Next door to the north of this church is the government’s Habour Department. And less than a kilometer south is the Embassy of Portugal.

Nowadays, this area is no longer a port and much less busy. The beautiful church is an evidence of bygone prosperous era.

Ceramic decoration at the door.
